Campaspe Artists Studio Trail

I am a practicing artist living and working in north-central Victoria. Art has always been a passion and was studied at high school level. A certificate in Further Education Art Studies was undertaken in 2002 and reignited my passion for creation in a more structured way.

My art practice has evolved from drawing to painting in both oils and acrylics. My process consists of layering, painting out, scratching back and repeating until a pleasing result is achieved. The randomness of the process reveals a logical conclusion that is seen only when the process is viewed in reverse. My works tend to have a strong design element sometimes coupled with whimsical figurative imagery.

I have also been working with gelli plate prints for the past few years, using the prints as gift cards and collage elements.

Bike rides and walks through the bush provide inspiration and ample opportunity to absorb and reflect on my surroundings and have resulted in salvaging materials and transforming them into art forms.
