Making personal artwork – along with gardening, writing bits of fiction, and socialising with friends – is one of my preferred pastimes.

Few things beat losing yourself in a universe of your own creation, where you can go with the flow and be enchanted as you coax and craft, or manipulate and engineer the elements and principles of art to do your bidding.

Either way is never plain sailing – there are challenges and problems, dissatisfaction and destruction, retries and rebuilds – before resolution. The learning is the journey, and the achievement is testament to having trekked the distance. What more reward is needed?
