Campaspe Artists Studio Trail

I am a local artist working with natural fibres: reeds, vines, gasses, leaves and branches found in the garden and around waterways.

I specialise in weaving functional baskets and small vessels, incorporating a variety of added resources as embellishment – cotton, fabric, leather and beads.

My fibres are collected over the spring and summer months, and involve learning and discovering the strength of the fibres which are dried, graded to size and stored ready for rehydration during the year, to create functional and sculptural pieces of art.

I find pleasure in feeling the different textures, seeing the natural colours, and repurposing nature’s gifts.
