Campaspe Artists Studio Trail

I own and operate Jenni’s Shed, which is a unique, creative venue in northern Victoria. I am an artist who loves working with leather, and a leathercraft specialist who revels in the arts.

My inspiration largely comes from the visual richness of the world around me, the flora, the fauna and the land itself. I also derive inspiration from observing everyday objects that people use and asking myself “how can that design be improved?” or “how can the object be made more attractive or more interesting (or both)?” Making that happen is immensely satisfying.

My aim is to bring the wonderful world of leather and leather craftsmanship to people of all ages, backgrounds and skills. I show them how to use their evolving leather skills to depict the world around them, then enhance their creations using a variety of artistic techniques to fashion objects ranging from the simply functional to the startlingly beautiful.

My work has been recognised throughout the world, with representative artwork now in collections in the United States, Europe and Australia. I recently gained my most prized accolade as the winner of the Florence Monod Memorial Award and Best in Show Craft at the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show for ‘Red Tail Black’ in frame.
