About Heather’s creative practice

I am an artist who delights in combining textiles and paint. My works are small and textured, and always very colourful.

I have always loved embroidery, and about 27 years ago started drawing and painting. Drawing inspiration from other artists on the internet, I am now developing my own style of textile art.

Colour is what attracts me, whether in paint or in fabric, ribbons, lace or buttons. And how you put it all together into something that delights the eye is what pleases me most.
