If you are an artist or maker who lives or has a studio within the Shire of Campaspe or the town of Moama, you can apply to be part of our studio trail event.
Applications open on 9 February and close of 27 February 2026. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
1. Read this information first
Three ways to participate in the trail
- Open your own studio – as long as it is a safe, accessible space you can open to the public
- Participate at one of our community arts venues – Kyabram Town Hall, The Foundry Arts Space and Rushworth Art Depot are offering space for those who cannot open their own studio. Spaces are limited.
- Hire a suitable venue
We want to offer a studio experience
The idea behind this event is for artists and makers to engage with visitors – to talk about or demonstrate their creative practice. This isn’t a formal exhibition. Of course, you can show your work, and offer work for sale.
You will need to be present most of the time from 10 am to 4 pm on the weekend of the event (and organise meal and other breaks with a friend, or fellow artists if you’re sharing a space).
You’ll need the following
- To become a member of Kyabram Town Hall Inc (a $5 fee). This is a requirement the town hall has set since they are auspicing this event for us. We’ll let you know how to do this later in the year.
- Public liability insurance, unless you have been accepted to participate at Kyabram Town Hall or Rushworth Art Depot. We can talk to you about some options if you don’t have studio-specific coverage already. Your home insurance is unlikely to cover you for this event. We will require you to provide your certificate of currency.
2. Contact us to get an application form
If you haven’t already had your name added to our list of artists who’ve expressed an interest in participating, you’ll need to:
- Call our project lead Dey Alexander on 0419 556 470 so we can make sure you have all the information you need
- Send us your email address and we’ll send you an application form
If you’re already on our artist list, we have already sent you an application form (in the first week of February).
To fill our the form, you will need to provide us with:
- Your contact details and the address of your studio
- An artist statement: 3-5 paragraphs describing your work, motivation, inspiration, processes and other relevant information
- Links to your website or social media pages
And you’ll need to email the form with the following attachments:
- Good quality photos of your work (3-6 images or more) and if possible, one photo of you with your work or in your studio. Images must be:
- in horizontal/landscape format
- in focus
- framed or cropped to show your work without any visible background distractions
- separate image files (JPG), not embedded in a document
- A copy of the Certificate of Currency for your public liability insurance.
